Celtic managed to win the Scottish Premier league title

Celtic managed to win the Scottish Premier league title without kicking the ball after Dundee United managed a win over Aberdeen, who have been one of their main competitors.

The title helped relieve a lot of pressure off manager Ronny Deila, whose appointment was viewed with a lot of scepticism by critics and pundits ahead of the new season. This is largely due to the relative inexperience of the Norwegian not with just Scottish football but as a manager. The club’s chief executive, Peter Lawwell, has admitted that Celtic did take a gamble in replacing an experienced manager like Neil Lennon with Deila.

Yet, the gamble appears to have been paid off with this impressive performance in the domestic competition yet again. Apart from having won the league title, Celtic have secured a double for the season. They were in the race to win three major titles, but an extra time defeat against Inverness in the Scottish cup final has blown away those hopes. The next major target for Deila will be to get the club become more competitive in European competitions. Qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League will be considered as a major achievement and it will also help the club immensely in terms of finances. Ronny Deila didnt found good Support with Celtic Fans

Ronny Deila did not establish a healthy or fruitful relationship with the supporters of Celtic as he was selected as the coach of the Scottish club back in June of 2014 and a few weeks later, the club failed to defeat Maribor in the final qualifier that would allow them on qualifying into the Champions League but Celtic ultimately lost against Maribor and they were dropped down to the Europa League.

Fortunately for Ronny Deila, things have been turning around for the better of Celtic as they are currently located at the top of the Scottish League and are playing much more convincingly than some time ago.

Back in September of 2014, one of the League matches of Celtic was against Motherwell which is a team that has almost always been struggling just to avoid the bottom relegation zone and Celtic was expected to seal a fairly simple victory but it did not happen as the final scoreboard was displaying 1-1 with the only goal of Celtic arriving from a penalty kick that was scored by Kris Commons. Celtic FC going through Superb Time in Scottish Premier League

The Scottish club Celtic FC is experiencing a campaign with superb results in the Scottish Premiership League as they are at the top after having collected a total of 35 points from the 15 league matches which have been played and has only conceded 9 goals.

It’s a slightly different story when you see their results and their position in the UEFA Europa League as Celtic FC has booked their spot into the last 32 teams that are remaining in the European competition but it has not been an easy ride as the Scottish club conceded 11 goals in 6 matches. It’s an underwhelming track record when you compare it to how they are doing in the Scottish League but nonetheless, the side of Ronny Deila still managed to qualify into the next stages of the UEFA Europa League along with the table-toppers Salzburg.
