Fans of Scottish Premiership side Celtic were caught on camera singing chants about slain soldier Lee Rigby.
Rigby was beheaded by two Daesh supporters back in 2013 so the pro-Irish fans sang in support of the IRA.
Many condemned the sick songs when the clips made the rounds online ahead of the pre-season game against Sunderland. Celtic won the friendly 5-0 but the game was marred by fighting among the fans. The fans who are believed to have been drunk sang the song, alluding to his military job.
Rigby was a corporal, drumming and handling the machine gun in the Royal Regiment of Fusiliers. The 25-year old was murdered by Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale in the streets of south east London. The killers claimed they were avenging Muslims. Subsequent report shows that M15 and M16 could have done better in handling the potential danger. Continue reading CELTIC CONDEMN RIGBY CHANTS
MoussaDembele has recently been making waves as the 20 year old French forward is the top goal-scorer of Celtic FC after scoring 17 goals in 27 league matches.
He signed with Celtic FC back on June of 2016 and so far has been one of the most impressive players not only in Celtic FC but also in Scotland.
Celtic FC were fairly lucky when they signed Dembele as there were a few top English Premier League clubs that were attempting to secure the services of the French player but failed to do so.
Arsenal, Liverpool, West Ham United and Chelsea have all showed interest in signing MoussaDembele but it’s believed that the 20 year old rising star has rejected offers from many of those clubs and decided to sign and keep on performing with Celtic FC for the simple fact that his chances of performing in the first team of the Scottish club are much higher in comparison to the other clubs.
During the upcoming summer transfer window, even more clubs are expected to enter the race of signing MoussaDembele as Juventus and Real Madrid are believed to be the latest clubs interested in securing the services of the young star who is running rampant in Scotland.
Brendan Rodgers is hoping that MoussaDembele will decide to stay with Celtic FC for a few more seasons but it might be a difficult task for the Scottish club to keep hold of Dembele as there are so many interested clubs that huge offers are probably going to be launched towards the young player in attempt to lure him away from Celtic FC.
Scottish champions Celtic FC are about to lose their defender Jozo Simunovic as the player has been linked heavily with a move to Italian side Torino.
Simunovic joined from Russian side Dinamo Zagreb but suffered a injury plagued debut season since joining the Hoops. The player is reported to be interested in the move to move to the Seria A. He is still sidelined with a knee injury but the Italian side want the Croatia international, according to Italian journalist Gainluca di Marzio.
The 22-year old player hasn’t featured for the club since January. Torino want the defender to replace Nikola Maksimovic who is on his way to Napoli for £20million. The deal has been on hold as English Premier League side Chelsea are hoping to seal a move for Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly. Simunovic played just 18 games in his premier season in Glasgow but hasn’t featured since January.
Former Liverpool boss who now heads Celtic, Brendan Rodgers brought Kolo Toure from Liverpool to take charge of the defence alongside full-back Mikael Lustig who has been in action with youngster Eoghan O’Connell. Injured players Erik Sviatchencko and Dedryck Boyata are set to make a return to action, paving wave for the deal for Simunovic.

The Principality Stadium is set to show the game between Wales and Portugal in the semi final of the Euro 2016 ongoing in France.
In 2011, the stadium opened its doors to fans when the Welsh rugby team played France in the semi final of the World Cup.
The Cardiff Euro 2016 fanzone has also been moved to the stadium for the semi final clash with the Portuguese side on Wednesday. Welsh fans will be able to see the game for free at the stadium as the Welsh Rugby Union joined with the Football Association of Wales (FAW) and Cardiff Council. The game will take over from Cooper’s field as the location for the fanzone for increased capacity so fans can watch the biggest game in the history of the country’s football.
A 100ft screen will be installed alongside the already existing two screens at the venue. The game comes five years after the one in which Wales played France. The game is set to be played in Lyon in France. The Swansea Council also announced that they would host fans in a 20,000 capacity fanzone at Singleton Park.

Record crowd turns out for the Cardiff game against Derby as the club reaps the benefits of their latest promotion to bring back their fans to the stadium. This crowd overtakes even the one that was present at Cardiff for the visit of Liverpool in the Premier Leauge in 2014. And the best news is that this is almost 13000 fans more than the last game against Ipswich.
Recently, Cardiff has been offering free tickets to fans that would sign up for a season ticket, and these promotion tactics has brought its reward with a staggering crowd present for the game. The atmosphere inside the stadium was electric and indeed with Cardiff pushing to get a place in the play-off, the fans are beginning to feel that this season could end in style.
This was different from the past home games where the atmosphere was dull and the fans really passive. This has prompted the club to conduct various community events as well as giving out free tickets to boost the attendance at the matches and also improve the atmosphere within the stadium. The Scottish club Celtic FC forms part of an exclusive group of teams that have managed to collect the treble which is an incredibly difficult thing to accomplish and it’s why only a few clubs have sealed this accomplishment of winning 3 big pieces of silverware in the same season.
Ronny Deilawants to mark his name in the history-books of Celtic FC and the way that he is hoping to accomplish this task is by lifting the treble. One of Celtic’s latest results saw them playing against Stranraer and claiming a 3-0 triumph.
The last time that Celtic FC secured the treble, they had also defeated Stranrarer in that same season and Ronny Deila is hoping that history will repeat as the Norwegian manager wants to see his team making a memorable year which can indeed occur but only if they win all their upcoming competitions.
Celtic’s Ronny Deila spoke about his desire to ensure the treble as he told the media: “Yes, I actually am quite superstitious. I have my things that I do but I won’t tell you what they are!
“Someone told me before the game that the last time Celtic won a Treble they had a victory over Stranraer and so I hope it is a good sign for us. I hope so. We have our goals and they are high goals and we know how tough it is because so few teams have done it but that will not stop us from aiming for a Treble. We are still in it and we will fight for every game and then see where we are. For me, I just want to find a way to the final. Celtic managed to win the Scottish Premier league title without kicking the ball after Dundee United managed a win over Aberdeen, who have been one of their main competitors.
The title helped relieve a lot of pressure off manager Ronny Deila, whose appointment was viewed with a lot of scepticism by critics and pundits ahead of the new season. This is largely due to the relative inexperience of the Norwegian not with just Scottish football but as a manager. The club’s chief executive, Peter Lawwell, has admitted that Celtic did take a gamble in replacing an experienced manager like Neil Lennon with Deila.
Yet, the gamble appears to have been paid off with this impressive performance in the domestic competition yet again. Apart from having won the league title, Celtic have secured a double for the season. They were in the race to win three major titles, but an extra time defeat against Inverness in the Scottish cup final has blown away those hopes. The next major target for Deila will be to get the club become more competitive in European competitions. Qualifying for the knockout stages of the Champions League will be considered as a major achievement and it will also help the club immensely in terms of finances. The goalkeeping area has been problematic position for Argentina in recent years. As a result, the national team coach Alejandro Sabella has been looking at various options in order to call up for the upcoming friendly against Romania.
This will be the final friendly match for Argentina before they enter into the World Cup 2014. They go into the tournament as one of the favourites to win the competition due to the deadly partnership of Sergio Aguero and Lionel Messi.
However, Sabella will have reasons to be concerned about the backline – especially the goalkeeper, in spite of a Sky bet bookmaker review that states that Argentina will be nailed on favourites. Continue reading SABELLA STILL LOOKING
